St. Mary’s has achieved Platinum Eco-Schools status and the whole school community is committed to our work in relation to learning about the environment, the risks to it and ways that we can act positively to protect it. Our Catholic ethos and our faith tell us that we should respect God’s creation and that we should do all we can to look after it.

We have an active Eco-Committee in school.  They produce plans of action ranging from making sure that we switch off lights and that we recycle well to conducting traffic surveys.
